Mark Fosson: Music

Old River Road

(Mark Fosson)
I'm steppin' light
my head up high.
A summer breeze is
easin' by.
Watchin' how the
day unfolds.
Walkin' down old
river road.
There's a sparkle
on the water,
there's a
twinkle in my eye.
I'm feelin' good,
right to my soul,
walkin' down old
river road.

I take the hand
of my true love.
An eagle cries
so high above.
The sun reflects
her band of gold
as we walk down
old river road.
Takes a lot to to
make me happy.
That's why I'm grinnin'
ear to ear.
I'm a lucky man,
you can bet I know,
walkin' down old
river road.

Now rivers rise
and rivers fall.
The world goes on
despite it all.
Today she's flowin'
smooth and slow
as we walk down old
river road.
Flowers bloomin' on
the hillside
paintin' memories
in our mind that
we'll recall when
we get old.
Walkin' down old
river road.
